Athletics Day!

The grass tickled my feet as I walked along the field, it was Athletics Day and Takahe was going win this year! I could feel a knot tied around my waist and every step I took towards the track it tightened up. We had Long Distance first the most breath taking sport, I lunged towards to the track and placed my foot behind the white line. It was like we were  in a slow motion movie when everyone tried to squeeze onto the shorter grass. People fell, slipped and walked along the way but I tried my hardest to not do those things. I could hear dozens of people taking huge breaths and so did I.

Rocks were glued onto my feet as I sat down drinking water, I had just pasted the finished line and I got 4 points for Takahe. I laid down onto the thick grass and looked at the grey clouds, I thought it was going to rain but the clouds seemed to look at me happily. Is that bad or good? I couldn't tell but my day was just about to start.

C.S.N.S Jammers!

On Friday 5th of November 2016, the College Street Normal School Jump Jam team came 3rd in the Advanced Open Jump Jam Nationals in Tauranga. I had the best time of my life traveling with our Jump Jam team! I had so much fun I came home missing our Hotel (The Reef). The Hotel had a MASSIVE pool and hot pool that we got to swim in, the pool was one the highlights of the trip. Also the hotel was opposite a beach and we got to see fireworks and light up Sparklers. On the night we competed Jump Jam Nationals we went to Lone Star to celebrate our achievement, the food we ordered was delicious and I could off ate another 10 bowls! While the trip lasted I had hang out with people that I would never talk too, I made more friends that I never knew liked the same things as me. Now I am really good friends with Milla, Lucy, Ayah and even the teachers! I will never forget this trip, and as I leave for Intermediate I will miss these days.

I also want to thank the parents and the teachers that helped with food, makeup, driving, taking care of us and all the things that a you think they will do. I can't imagine you guys not there to help, and if you weren't there, we wouldn't never made it to today, I want to thank you guys SOO MUCH!!! :D

Ivory Coast

Ivory Coast Ivory Coast is a country in Africa, that is famous for its cocoa production and it is the world's biggest producer of cocoa. Ivory Coast also has another name which is Côte D’Ivoire. Ivory Coast has a population is 20.2 million in their country. Ivory Coast has 11 Athletes competing in the 2016 Olympics, Ivory Coast has only won 1 silver medal in 1984 in the men’s 400 meters Olympics games. Futher then Ivory Coast hasn't won any other medals for any sport.

A very popular tourist attraction in Ivory Coast is Basilica of Lady of Peace. It has been listed on the Guinness World Records for the largest church in the world with 30,000 square meters and 158 m high. It also can fit 7,000 people inside.A environment issue in Ivory Coast is water pollution, in Ivory Coast the people have markets probably every week and in those markets their sell very cheap phone. People go there and buy new phones then the week after their buy a better phone and then buys that one. Then what happens to the old phone? The people either throw in in the water/pond/river or rubbish and sometimes the rubbish goes in the sea/etc. ( This is only one type of reason) But Ivory Coast has a solution to solve it Ivory Coast has 25 experts that are cleaning up the polluted areas with 60 tonnes from Europe and they are cleaning it up.

Ivory Coast’s flag is like the Ireland flag but the green and orange is the other way around. Ireland Flag                         Ivory Coast Flag
The Ivory Coast flag was chosen on December 3, 1959. The orange represents the savanna grasslands, green represents the coastal forests, and then the white represents the country's rivers. This design is modeled after the French Tricolore.Did you know that Ivory Coast……The capital of Ivory Coast is Yamoussoukro The country has 124,502 square meters of land.47% of Adults in Ivory Coast can read. The official Language of Ivory Coast is French but many other local languages are still used like Dioula, Baoule, Dan and Anyin.

I would definitely want to visit Ivory Coast if I had the chance! ‍‍‍‍

My Role in the Production

This year College Street Normal School is doing an Production about Cinderella & Rockerfella. My roles in the production are Talent Show Gymnast, Time Dance and Ball. The Talent Show Gymnast is when Ava, Amber, Milla, Mackenzie, Hazel, Eden, Rebecca and I go on stage and perform an act using Cartwheels, Handstands and that stuff. Kate who is acting as Danny (Rockerfella's Manager) and says no to us. So the talent show is like the X Factor. We perform an 1 minute act and then go off stage. I am also in the Time Dance. The Time Dance is a dance when Cinderella is nearly late to go home and it is nearly Midnight. The girls in our class do a dance about time and fairies come on and fixs our hands.

Another Role is the Ball. The Ball is like a after-party for Rockerfella's concert, we dance to a song  f hunch bug called "There's a party here tonight" and then the C.S.N.S Band plays.

All of my roles in the production are really FUN! I am really glad that I am in College Street Normal School to have this chance to perform

My favoirite thing in Gri11 2.0

My Favourite thing GRi11 2.0 this year is the way we learn. I like learning this year because  99%  is on devices. Our work is all on Fast Track- which is is on Google Sheets and we have tasks to do and we find it on classroom, and when we are done we fill our boxes green.)  We sometimes have tick-a boxes- which is used on Google Forms and our teachers give us some questions and we below them they are a few answers and we dot the one we think is right.) Also we have different workshops about the tasks we don't know how to do like Problem Solving, and Writing Narritives, etc.We get to choose what workshops we want to go to because we know what we need help on, then we put our names on the teachers timetable- which is a doc and on the doc their is links that we put our names in for the workshops. Learning this way helps me with my learning because I know what I need to learn not what the teachers makes me do.

"You eat like a PIG Lulu."

The sun was smiling and the clouds were cheerful. Lulu and Tommy were in Norsville reserve park searching for a super rare flower called the ballerina tutti. Lulu was the pet of the Princess Nala and Tommy was the pet of SuperMan. Lulu was a perfectionist so she had a little carriage pulled by one of her servants. Tommy was more energetic and liked the out outdoors and Lulu was more of a indoor person. Tommy and Lulu were trying to find the rare flower " Ballerina Tutii" and take it back to the museum of Paris. This flower had been stolen in the past few days and Tommy and Lulu had to find it.

When Tommy got tired Lulu told her servants " Picnic Please!" And then came her 2 servants- Mata & Casta. Mata was a bunny and Casta was a Chicken. Tommy licked his lips and began eating some grass beside him then realized that lulu was watching and began to eat a few biscuits while Lulu took a raspberry and vanilla cupcake. " YOU HAVE DOG BREATH TOMMY!" Lulu said, "* Hmph *WELL YOU EAT LIKE A PIG LULU!" Tommy replied. Just then Lulu heard something that sounded like digging, Lulu immediately told everyone to follow her and be quiet. Until.........

Tommy sneezed and the two rascals ran. Tommy flew in the sky while Lulu sprinted downwards them. The two rascals accidentally left the flower behind and Lulu and Tommy kind of saved the day! Lulu and Tommy decided to eat a chocolate brownie and the two went back into Lulu's carriage and went back to Norville. The day hadn't ended and their owners hadn't suspected anything.
TO BE CONTINUED...........
